You Are Ready
You have already been prepared to produce more fruit by the teaching I have given you. John 15:3 ERV As I sit and reflect upon the words of John I begin to feel overwhelmed by the revelation the Lord gives. He lets you know in this season and on this very day that He already prepared you to produce more fruit as a result of all the classes you took with Him. This is the point at which He says to you; “You Are Ready”. Did He just say that? Did the Great Rabbi say that I am ready? Yes, He said that you are ready. As a matter of…

The Promise Land
Many are praying for the days when they receive all the blessings God has in store for them. They travail long in the wilderness, trusting in God and believing Him daily for His provision. The wilderness season can be a long haul; one that often leaves us discouraged if we are not thoroughly prepared for it. Wilderness according to https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/wilderness “is a tract or region uncultivated and uninhabited by human beings”. Its a place that is difficult for living, growing plants and cultivating a normal life. It’s uncomfortable to live in because of the difficult earth’s terrain and hot or cold weather conditions. It’s not a favourable location to pursue a family lifestyle. I…

A Quiet Place
There are going to be these moments when the Lord takes you off the track with the crowd, noise and excitement and He will place you in a quiet place. A quiet place is necessary when the Lord wants to speak to us and with us, when He wants to change some of our behaviours, when He wants us to develop deep intimacy with Him, when He wants to direct us, when He wants to build our Faith and Trust in Him and when He wants to refine us for the next chapter of our life with Him. It can pretty much be called a pruning and training season. As…

The Pruning Process
He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. John 15:2 From our last time spent together on “Abide in the True Vine”, we learned that Christ was speaking with His disciples and preparing them for His grand departure. It was essential that He took the time to carefully impart into their hearts these true words because it was these last words which brought their assignment all together. In verse one (1) He instructed them; who was the True Vine and who was the Gardener, to make it fundamentally clear who…

Abide in the True Vine
Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. John 15:1 Hey friend, let’s take a journey through the vineyard with Jesus. This moment was so very precious and special to Him and His disciples as He carefully shared so many secret truths with them. Soon He would no longer be with them. In verse one of John 15 Messiah reaffirmed to them who He was and today still is. It was the seventh (7th) “I Am” which concluded His true character. He distinguished Himself from the wolves whose desire is to kill, steal and destroy His people. It was necessary that He shared these truths…

He is with you
Jacob, the Lord created you. Israel, he made you, and now he says, “Don’t be afraid. I saved you. I named you. You are mine. When you have troubles, I am with you. When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not hurt you. Isaiah 43: 1-2 (ERV) The pressures and troubles of this life have a way to weary us and bring us down. They become so burdensome that oftentimes we feel defeated. It sometimes feels like life has gotten the best of us. We may feel like there is no way out and we…

Things Take Time
While on a short walk around my neighbourhood with my dog Ace, the Lord brought my attention to a print on a derelict vehicle. It was simple yet profound, as I pretty much expected. It stated “Things take time”. Do you know that when God gives us this little wise insights from heaven we generally know what He is talking about or if we do not at the moment instantly know, He clarifies his word later. That’s one of the amazing and loving characteristics about Abba that I adore. He never keeps anything from us that He desires us to be aware of. For me that’s just one simple example I…

Release the old! Embrace the New
Let go of the old so you can embrace the new. What does this simple statement mean to you? Lately the Lord has been speaking to me about this. I kept on getting this annoyance about a dresser I had. This dresser had been with me for a good ten(10) years now. It was still in good condition except you would be able to identify the wear and tear just by glancing at it. However in order to draw that kind of attention away from my 10 years old dresser I took the wise decision to cover it up. The “covering” made me feel much better. I would not get…

Strategy to Complaining Less
One of the ways I practice complaining less is to keep my mind occupied with things around me I am grateful for. I would challenge myself to think of at least 20 grateful things and then jot them down in my journal. I even went as far as creating a “Thankful Journal” and every day I challenge myself to remember to think of just 20 things I should be grateful about. This practice has helped to keep negative thinking out because I am too occupied thinking of the 20 things I should be thankful for. As a result of this my mind is always focused on the good in my…

Time to Move
I have observed that every time the Lord desires to do a new thing in my life there was some form of movement which needed to take place. Have you ever observed this in yours? Let’s take this experience in my life as a simple example; I used to work at a sign company for a few yeas. After a while I honestly got bored and didn’t feel challenged enough. I needed some exciting challenge in my life which would push me to grow. Soon the Lord began to speak to me about leaving the job but I wasn’t very in tune with God and brushed the voice off thinking…
