    Let Go of Control

My friend, one of the best things I’ve learned is to trust God’s timing and His ways. What God promised will come to pass. But it may not happen the way you think, and it may not be when you had planned. If you’re trying to control the outcome and the time frame, you’re going to live worried. You have to release control. You have to let go of having to have it happen your way. Release and Relax God already has what’s upsetting you figured out. He knows the end from the beginning. But here’s the key: He doesn’t give you the details. If you knew how everything was…

How to Grow in Relationship with God

The ultimate way you can grow in relationship with God is by spending time with Him. Don’t complicate things because it’s very simple. Do you spend time with anyone? Do you enjoy their company? Do you make time for that person? Then I suppose this person means a lot to you. You’d usually spend time with those you care for. It’s the same with God. When you first gave your life to Christ it was an exciting experience. However, just like everything else if you do not cultivate and nurture that thing it will fall apart.  Colossian 2:6-7 tells us, “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord,…

    Deep Cry to Repentance

Over the past few days the word “Repent” has been highlighted to me repeatedly.  Repent? What does this word mean? Repent according to the KJV Dictionary Definition is known as: To feel pain, sorrow or regret for something done or spoken; as, to repent that we have lost much time in idleness or sensual pleasure; to repent that we have injured or wounded the feelings of a friend. A person repents only of what he himself has done or said. To express sorrow for something past. To change the mind in consequence of the inconvenience or injury done by past conduct. In theology, to sorrow or be pained for sin,…

How to Stand Firm Against the devil

The Word of God tells to resist the devil (stand firm against him) and he will flee from us ( James 4:7). In the following verses James speaks more about the topic. He says come near to God and He will come near to you. He continues to encourage us to purify ourselves, to humble ourselves and repent and truly love each other. Below are a few tips to help you on this journey of daily standing firm against the devil. The more we practice this the better we will become at resisting the devil. Let’s train our muscles. Tips to resist the devil: So humble yourselves before God. Resist…

    Your Strategy is Here

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 One morning I sat on my living room rug and began to talk to God. I expressed my desires to Him. I needed help and I knew He was the only one who could assist. To be honest I was a little more anxious than I should be even though He already told me “do not be anxious about anything…” What I really should be doing is that second part of the bible verse which states, “ but in every situation, by prayer…

Know When its Time to Move on

Let go of anything in your life that adds no value. It’s keeping you away from what is truly valuable. The more you stay connected to what lacks value, the less you see what is valuable. You know if something is valuable by it’s fruits. What is truly valuable produces much good fruit in all seasons and whatever is done truly prospers. What is not valuable acts like it can produce fruit and may even produce fruit but this fruit does not last. Here are a few questions to ask yourself to help determine if something is really valuable. Is this thing; job, career, relationship, opportunity, place, ministry, program…you name…

    The Church Visit

When the Lord speaks it’s our duty to obey or disobey. We don’t have to do anything He says because we have been given free will. I felt the impression to visit my home church. It has been a while since I had been there. However, one moment came and I felt God had put it on my heart to visit. I woke up that Sunday, dressed and headed to catch the “church bus”. I was still debating about whether I should really go or not but finally when I stepped out of the bus after it stopped off in front of the church I decided to just attend. (I…

    He Doesn’t Want Perfection

Too often we hold back on what God has already told us to do because we don’t feel good enough. We don’t feel qualified. We worry about what others may think, the questions they may ask, simply, the judgement they may pass. I sometimes find myself fitting into this category. God tells me to do a thing and out of fear, anxiety and doubt I begin to question what He said. I tend to forget who He says I am and even so who He is. I forget that I am Fearfully and Wonderfully made. Marvelous are the works of His hands. I would get so caught up in the…

    Don’t Chase The Dream

We so very often hear the sayings “Go after your dreams”, “follow your dreams” or “Chase your dreams”. While all these sayings have their place and time, we must be very careful not to use them freely. I can not recall any one moment in scripture where we were ever encouraged to pursue our dreams or even chase after them. Have you? If you have please comment down below for further study on this subject matter. We are encouraged in Matthew 6:33 to seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all these things will be added unto us. In this one (1) reference, the things we should seek after, pursue…

    Are You Ready to Receive?

We often go to God with a list of our heart’s desires. How ready are you to receive everything you are asking for? I wanna draw to your attention the parable of the ten (10) virgins as referenced in Matthew 25:1-13. There were five (5) who were wise and the remaining five (5) were foolish. They all had lamps and oil in their lamps. Unfortunately, only the wise virgins held extra oil to replenish their lamp if necessary. For the other group, I suppose this never crossed their mind. Perhaps they were too preoccupied and even if they might have seen the wise virgins take extra, they possibly could have thought,…
