Come Find Rest
Have you ever been in a season of your life where you feel extremely overwhelmed? It’s like everything seems to be crashing down on you all at once. You feel frustration setting camp in your heart with no desire to leave soon. This is how life can become when we are not resting in God. There was a period of my life when I felt so overburdened with life’s issues and felt like I was drowning. The spirit of oppression was trying to settle in but at just the right moment, the Word of God spoke to me. Through a simple yet powerful statement, He said through the voice of…

Your Strategy is Here
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 One morning I sat on my living room rug and began to talk to God. I expressed my desires to Him. I needed help and I knew He was the only one who could assist. To be honest I was a little more anxious than I should be even though He already told me “do not be anxious about anything…” What I really should be doing is that second part of the bible verse which states, “ but in every situation, by prayer…

Know When its Time to Move on
Let go of anything in your life that adds no value. It’s keeping you away from what is truly valuable. The more you stay connected to what lacks value, the less you see what is valuable. You know if something is valuable by it’s fruits. What is truly valuable produces much good fruit in all seasons and whatever is done truly prospers. What is not valuable acts like it can produce fruit and may even produce fruit but this fruit does not last. Here are a few questions to ask yourself to help determine if something is really valuable. Is this thing; job, career, relationship, opportunity, place, ministry, program…you name…

He Doesn’t Want Perfection
Too often we hold back on what God has already told us to do because we don’t feel good enough. We don’t feel qualified. We worry about what others may think, the questions they may ask, simply, the judgement they may pass. I sometimes find myself fitting into this category. God tells me to do a thing and out of fear, anxiety and doubt I begin to question what He said. I tend to forget who He says I am and even so who He is. I forget that I am Fearfully and Wonderfully made. Marvelous are the works of His hands. I would get so caught up in the…

God’s Promises Are Yes
I wonder if this will ever come pass? Have God forgotten me? Did God even hear my prayer? These and more are all the questions we ask ourselves and God, while we wait on Him to come through for us. We ponder on our prayer requests, trying to figure out if it will happen and then entertain voices from the devil. Although we might have just asked one question to assess what’s going on in our life, this one question has the potential to open the door to the devil. What he does then is walk in, get relaxed then begin to feed our mind with more negative and doubtful…

Don’t Chase The Dream
We so very often hear the sayings “Go after your dreams”, “follow your dreams” or “Chase your dreams”. While all these sayings have their place and time, we must be very careful not to use them freely. I can not recall any one moment in scripture where we were ever encouraged to pursue our dreams or even chase after them. Have you? If you have please comment down below for further study on this subject matter. We are encouraged in Matthew 6:33 to seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all these things will be added unto us. In this one (1) reference, the things we should seek after, pursue…

Are You Ready to Receive?
We often go to God with a list of our heart’s desires. How ready are you to receive everything you are asking for? I wanna draw to your attention the parable of the ten (10) virgins as referenced in Matthew 25:1-13. There were five (5) who were wise and the remaining five (5) were foolish. They all had lamps and oil in their lamps. Unfortunately, only the wise virgins held extra oil to replenish their lamp if necessary. For the other group, I suppose this never crossed their mind. Perhaps they were too preoccupied and even if they might have seen the wise virgins take extra, they possibly could have thought,…

The Lord Wants to Bless You
You want a house, but God wants to give you a mansion. For a while I was seeking God for a financial breakthrough. I know a lot of us could do with some extra cash to pursue our dreams and become financially free. Sometimes it fells like we have to travail quite a bit before we can finally reach that which we desire. I really believe this is true. Just the like lady with the issue of blood (Luke 8:43-48) had to push and press her way through until she could at least touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, we have to do the same in certain situations. Do not give up.…
