Let Go of Control
My friend, one of the best things I’ve learned is to trust God’s timing and His ways. What God promised will come to pass. But it may not happen the way you think, and it may not be when you had planned. If you’re trying to control the outcome and the time frame, you’re going to live worried. You have to release control. You have to let go of having to have it happen your way. Release and Relax God already has what’s upsetting you figured out. He knows the end from the beginning. But here’s the key: He doesn’t give you the details. If you knew how everything was…

How to Grow in Relationship with God
The ultimate way you can grow in relationship with God is by spending time with Him. Don’t complicate things because it’s very simple. Do you spend time with anyone? Do you enjoy their company? Do you make time for that person? Then I suppose this person means a lot to you. You’d usually spend time with those you care for. It’s the same with God. When you first gave your life to Christ it was an exciting experience. However, just like everything else if you do not cultivate and nurture that thing it will fall apart. Colossian 2:6-7 tells us, “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord,…

Deep Cry to Repentance
Over the past few days the word “Repent” has been highlighted to me repeatedly. Repent? What does this word mean? Repent according to the KJV Dictionary Definition is known as: To feel pain, sorrow or regret for something done or spoken; as, to repent that we have lost much time in idleness or sensual pleasure; to repent that we have injured or wounded the feelings of a friend. A person repents only of what he himself has done or said. To express sorrow for something past. To change the mind in consequence of the inconvenience or injury done by past conduct. In theology, to sorrow or be pained for sin,…

How to Stand Firm Against the devil
The Word of God tells to resist the devil (stand firm against him) and he will flee from us ( James 4:7). In the following verses James speaks more about the topic. He says come near to God and He will come near to you. He continues to encourage us to purify ourselves, to humble ourselves and repent and truly love each other. Below are a few tips to help you on this journey of daily standing firm against the devil. The more we practice this the better we will become at resisting the devil. Let’s train our muscles. Tips to resist the devil: So humble yourselves before God. Resist…

Your Strategy is Here
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 One morning I sat on my living room rug and began to talk to God. I expressed my desires to Him. I needed help and I knew He was the only one who could assist. To be honest I was a little more anxious than I should be even though He already told me “do not be anxious about anything…” What I really should be doing is that second part of the bible verse which states, “ but in every situation, by prayer…

The Church Visit
When the Lord speaks it’s our duty to obey or disobey. We don’t have to do anything He says because we have been given free will. I felt the impression to visit my home church. It has been a while since I had been there. However, one moment came and I felt God had put it on my heart to visit. I woke up that Sunday, dressed and headed to catch the “church bus”. I was still debating about whether I should really go or not but finally when I stepped out of the bus after it stopped off in front of the church I decided to just attend. (I…

He is our Shepherd
Psalms 23 lays it down smoothly: “The Lord is my shepherd. I will always have everything I need. He gives me green pastures to lie in. He leads me by calm pools of water. He restores my strength. He leads me on right paths to show that he is good. Even if I walk through a valley as dark as the grave, I will not be afraid of any danger, because you are with me. Your rod and staff comfort me. You prepared a meal for me in front of my enemies. You welcomed me as an honored guest. My cup is full and spilling over. Your goodness and mercy will be with me all my life, and I will live in the Lord’s house a long,…

Jump in Faith
False Evidence Appearing Real! (FEAR) That’s our Fears! So that’s what we are truly afraid of? Really? It’s funny how we can become so afraid of ….. NOTHING!!! Funny and yet interesting huh? In the book of 2 Timothy 1:7, we are reminded here by Paul that “God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Yet still we adopt what God has not given us into our lives, holding unto it like it is ours. What Paul was really telling Timothy was that when God created him, He did not craft him with a spirit of fear, but…

A New Thing
One of the things about God, is that He isn’t a talker. What He says He will do, He always does. He says in Isaiah 55: 11 (paraphrased) that when His words leave His mouth it can’t return unto Him void. In order words; whatever His says must be accomplished. It’s impossible for Him to lie, therefore what He says He will do, He does. In this season of life, the Lord is doing a new thing. We know that He has done marvelous things for us in the past but He says to forget all that. Pretty much the same thing He told the children of Israel. Forget about…

The Keyring
It’s always interesting to see how everything aligns as I collaborate with God’s plans. About a year ago, I felt led to order a keyring. However the specific design could not be completed and therefore it was placed on hold. A few months later I visited a church and was gifted a keyring. It’s certainly not what I had in mind but as always God’s plans are always perfect. I got a ‘lips’ Keyring instead. Haha. It’s cute though. But what’s even more amazing, is not how dazzling and perky it is, but the verse which was attached to it; “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of…
