God is In Control-Wait Patiently

During the week of January 13th 2022, I was a bit concerned about God’s timing for things to happen in my life. I know it seems anxious and I should not be. We are reminded to be anxious for nothing but instead, do everything with prayer and supplication, making our request known to God. He will then give us His peace to guidance.

I allowed my mind to take on a path of its own for a while and honestly, that’s not good at all. When we do that we give the enemy entry into our heart and mind and then we begin to worry and this often leads to anxiety or complaining. I became pretty anxious about the promises He shared with me. I just wanted them to come to pass. I was tired of waiting. It just feels like the “wait” is always forever. Don’t you feel so at times?

I repented and apologized to the Lord. These were my words; “Lord, I sincerely apologize. Help me to just rest in and wait on You. I know that you have everything under your control but sometimes the wait can feel long. But you know what? It feels long because I am focused on the future and not the now. Help me to focus on the NOW and not the future because you have everything under control. You are in control and nothing I do or can do would be able to change a thing. So why worry? Why be anxious?”

“I just need to remain in peace so I can rest and rejuvenate in You. There I will be at peace. I won’t be worried or concerned but simply trust and know that You are working all – ALL Things together for my good because I love You and I am one who is called according to Your purpose. I am loved and chosen by You. Why do I even worry? You love me and are working everything out well. It will all come together perfectly, I’ll see.”

Yes, this was my honest prayer before God. I was being, HOT with Him (Honest, Open and Transparent). If you watch Pastor Michael Todd’s preaching at Transformation Church, you will understand exactly where I am coming from.

Romans 8:28 tells us, “We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love Him. These are the people God chose, because that was His plan.”

In the King James Version it goes like this, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

The Amplified Version amplifies it for us to understand better as if we are doing a personal Bible Study, “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”

God is working out everything perfectly for you – you just need to trust in Him and you will soon see it fall in place.

We don’t have control over life. Remember Psalm 24 and verse 1? It says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

In spite of whatever we are waiting for from God, continue to wait. GOD IS IN CONTROL. Everything is in the palm of His hands. He has the ultimate control. He is orchestrating everything to work out well for His Glory. Don’t worry. You don’t have a reason to be worried when you truly think of it because God loves you. He loves us and is ensuring that every detail falls in alignment with His majestic plan. Trust in Him because He knows what’s best for you.

Hold unto God firmly and focus solely on the now; that means, what He is doing now. Do not worry about what He will do tomorrow. It is already perfect.

Bible Reference: Hebrews 10:19-25

Verse 23 states “We must hold on to the hope we have, never hesitating to tell people about it. We can trust God to do what he promised.”

We have to understand that Christ paid a huge price so that we can now walk in freedom through him. He did all this, so there is no reason after He paid the ultimate price, that He would change His mind about the promises He made to us. He will never lie to us or hurt us. He is not human, and therefore has no variation in Him. What He promised, He will fulfil.

Do not worry about the time factor. He will redeem the time. You will have a long life to enjoy the promises when they are released to you, once you continue to walk in His obedience.

Let us focus on the “Now”. What is it that God wants you to focus on now? I believe we need to focus on the current assignments, projects and activities He has called us to. He wants us to focus on drawing nearer to Him and building our relationship with Him. He wants us to focus on the Gospel; sharing it and encouraging each other. He wants us to be focused on the thing (s) He called us to do and be so focused in the field He has placed us in, that we would not be worried or anxious about the future. When the future comes, we will be fully equipped to handle it well. He wants us to be excellent stewards of what He gives us. While we wait, let us focus and get prepared now.

Remember, the future is not for us to worry about. HE IS IN CONTROL.

Shalom
