He is Healer
“Put on your Shield of Faith” He said.
In the early morning after I sent my son off to school 🏫 I decided to immediately begin preparing a few revision questions for him to practice while he prepares for his Bible Instructions examination. Interestingly yet perfectly orchestrated by God the topic I would be working on was Armour of God; recorded in Ephesians 6. I had previously covered a few other parts of the Armour and now had to continue from the Shield. As I began scheming through my son’s notes I heard the voice of Holy Spirit speak. “Put on your Shield of Faith” He whispered. For a moment there I just glanced at the page as if I was a bit confused. I questioned God. Don’t I have my shield of faith on? He repeated again, “Put on your Shield of Faith”.
This certainly had me thinking. Being honest, that very same morning I wasn’t feeling too well. There was a lot of doubt as I questioned God’s word over my life concerning His healing power. Sometimes when we face rocky roads we truly begin to question God but in all essence that’s where our faith in God is tested. The Lord revealed to me that I was in a spiritual battle and I wasn’t fully equipped to fight. I still hadn’t place my Shield on with which I need to quench the fiery darts of the evil one. Yes, I know His word but it was not activated. I was not battle ready and was giving the devil access to my heart. The less covering I had, the more I began to dwindle in my faith and that’s the unprepared position the devil desired.
Every day we should always ensure to put on the Full Armour of God because we are always going out to battle. A soldier who goes out to the war zone unarmed will certainly be the first man down. The enemy’s goal is to kill, steal and destroy and he will stop at nothing to destroy anyone unarmed. Ensure at all times that you put on your belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, shoes of peace and sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With this Armour on, you will be able to quench all darts of the enemy and after all the fighting you will remain standing.
Don’t give room for the enemy to get access to your heart. Resist him daily and he will flee from you. God’s word is faithful and whatever He promises to do, He will do. Regardless of How I was feeling, because His word stated “By His stripes I am healed” then I am healed. His words also reminds us that ‘healing is children bread’, so we should eat from this bread regardless of what the situation looks and feels like. Besides, His bread gives life to our bone so by eating it we get Life! The enemy enjoys bringing doubt to our mind when we are weak but that’s the exact time we need to ensure that our shield of faith is up, protecting our breastplate so he will not get access to our heart. Don’t give the devil any opportunity to destroy the promises God gave you. His promise to heal you remains regardless of how bad you feel. Do not stop believing. Keep your Shield of Faith up and Trust God even harder.
Always remember that God Loves you and He wants to restore to you everything the devil stole from you including your health. He promised to heal you so keep on believing and hold on to His unfailing hands. By His stripes you are healed.
